Death to Tyranny
The Republican and Democrat parties - corrupt and depraved - have captured our government and sold it to the highest bidder. Every day our country looks more like a casino run by clowns.
But, the republic does not belong to them. It does not belong to Amazon or Wal-Mart, the state of Israel, or any other foreign power or corporation.
It does not belong to sweaty anti-Christ expert Peter Theil, the mass surveillance profiteer.
We don't pay our taxes for the benefit of Muhammed bin Salman (MBS) the journalist butcherer.
America does not belong to Donald Trump, his administration, or his family, whom bend the knee to tyrants, helping themselves to more profits than they have ever seen in their lives by selling access to American power; pigs at the trough of corruption.
The folks listed above, and their ilk, are today's equivalent to the tyrant King George III.
The Fall of the Democratic and Republican Parties
Today it appears that voters have two options for the next phase of American civic life: right-wing neo-con authoritarianism (MAGA, RNC, and mainline Democrats) or left-wing wealth redistribution (the DSA and some left-leaning Democrats). The DSA, despite being branded as communists, would make America more like a modern, socialist European country than communist Russia.
Communism in America does not even exist, meaninfully. If you go offline and look around, even in the most liberal cities in America, you will have a hard time finding a real communist.
The scare tactic of branding DSA candidates as communists is a desperate and intentionally misleading effort by a political class that has lost its mandate with the American people. The DSA is winning elections in Amerca today that it never could have 10 years ago. Not because America is turning toward socialism, but because America is turning away from the Democrats and Republicans.
And to be clear, what the DSA offers is not all bad for America. Universal healthcare, for example, is a noble, popular, and just cause. No one in a civilized society should have to choose between their health and generational financial ruin.
The central problem in American politics is systemic corruption, which tax programs alone do not fix. If all you have is taxation, all of your problems begin to look like wealth itself. The position of American Whig is that there is nothing inherently wrong with wealth or the natural inequalty in its distribution.
Extreme wealth disparity is a symptom, not a cause. The problem is that the normal functions of our government have been captured by those who can afford bribery and lobbying. Multinational corporations like Amazon and Meta, foreign powers like Israel and Saudi Arabia, the military-industrial complex, etc.
Systemic corruption has exacerbated the natural unequal distrubition of wealth in America, by allowing those with money special, behind-the-scenes access to our political system.
Taxation without Representation
Many are taxed, but few are represented by our government. Every day politicians show us who they really work for, and it sure as heck ain't you and me. They work for their donors, who have allegiance to corporations and even other countries.
It is therefore misguided to simply tax the wealth of powerful people, and expect the system to change. Instead, American Whig proposes that we dismantle the power in politics that wealth affords for the few.
Death to Tyranny!
